Missions Administrative Assistant | Central Services - All Campus Support | Part-time

Position Status: Part-time

Position Summary:

The Missions Admin Assistant provides administrative and project management support for the Missions department, whose primary objective is to build and implement systems that support annual mobilization of 10% of the weekend attendance of Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) on short term teams. In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.

20 hours per week


Essential Functions:
  • Maintain database of missions trip participants utilizing Fellowship One, Focus Missions, and/or other applications, ensuring information is current and accurate

  • Oversee missions application processes for checks, background checks, fundraising efforts and other participant requirements

  • Assist with reconciling missions finances to team and annual budgets

  • Assist with sharing amazing stories received from missions workers once or twice/week on social media

  • Partners with Missions Project Coordinator to build and grow an online community with missions alumni

  • Prepare and assist with facilitation of team and missions meetings

  • Assist team leaders manage the details for large church-wide mission trips before, during, and after travel, as needed


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of administrative or project management experience
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and in written form
  • Thorough, detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC
