Weekend Team Administrative Assistant | Central Services - All Campus Support | Part-time

Position Status: Part-time

Position Summary:

The Weekend Team Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Executive Pastor of Weekend and the Weekend Team at Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC).  In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.  


This position is part time, 28 hours per week. 

Essential Functions:


  1. Manages calendar for Executive Pastor of Weekend and schedules and organizes meetings for all members of the department utilizing ServiceU, Planning Center, and PCO, as requested
  2. Oversees creative planning timeline and schedule; creates and manages service templates in Planning Center; updates plans across all campuses
  3. Maintains team database and tracks volunteers, ensuring information is current and accurate
  4. Creates and maintains meeting notes, minutes, and action items for department
  5. Manages general correspondence, memos, e-mail correspondence, forms, procedures, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes.  Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy
  6. Establishes, develops, organizes, maintains and updates e-filing system for the Executive Pastor of Weekend Experience and the department within the Google Drive platform
  7. Manages billing and payment processes for department.  Orders supplies and prepares items needed for weekend services at all campuses
  8. Maintains departmental licenses
  9. Supports weekend hospitality through inventory management and ordering, coffee vendor coordination, etc

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of administrative experience
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the Google Platform 
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and in written form
  • Thorough, detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Collaboration skills, teamwork orientation
  • Agrees and aligns with the vision, values and doctrine statement of SVCC

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree
  • Four or more years of related experience
