SV Kids K–3 Large Group Coordinator | Gilbert | Part-time

Position Status: Part-time

Position Summary:

The SV Kids K-3 Large Group Coordinator is responsible to implement the SV Kids Large Group under the direction of the SV Kids K-3 Coordinator.  This position leads a team of volunteers to create a fun, safe, and relational environment for kindergarten through third grade kids during the Large Group portion of all weekend services.   This position also works to build trust with parents while providing an excellent Large Group experience for new and returning guests. In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.  


This position is 15 hours per week. 

Essential Functions:


  1. Recruit, train, shepherd, and develop Large Group volunteer leadership team to assist in weekend ministry duties
  2. Schedule volunteers for each service and ensure resources are available
  3. Oversee Large Group hosts and tech volunteers during Large Group experiences
  4. Implement Large Group host script and provide direction and clarity in expectations of hosts
  5. Communicate mission/vision of Children’s Ministry to parents and volunteers
  6. Create fun and engaging environment for kids
  7. Oversee Large Group stage production and development
  8. Implement Large Group Ministry policies and procedures
  9. Pursue opportunities for personal growth/development in order to grow in leadership abilities, as well as continually growing the Large Group K-3 ministry at SVCC

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experienced with The Orange Strategy
  • Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Effective team building skills and ability to motivate others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both kids and adults
  • Strong understanding of the development of K-3rdgrade children
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership
  • Minimum one year of experience in theatrical production including the following: stage design, production, creative use of media, event production, or related
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience in church setting working with kids and developing volunteers
  • Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC and SVCC Children’s ministry

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of leadership experience in a church setting of over 2000 members/attendees
