Digital Strategies Lead Director | Central Services - All Campus Support | Full-time

Position Status: Full-time

Position Summary:


The Digital Strategies Lead Director leads and executes the Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) digital strategy to help unchurched and de-churched young families find SVCC, decipher their felt needs and choose SVCC to help them meet, know and follow Jesus.  In all actions, this role reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives. 

Essential Functions:


  1. Strategy:  Lead the development and implementation of SVCC’s digital strategy to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus

  2. Marketing:  Oversee digital marketing efforts and external-facing digital communications

  3. Engagement:  Through digital marketing, move people from exposure to SVCC through to ongoing engagement

  4. Teams:  Lead the Data Insights Team, Communications/Marketing Team, and work with the Weekend Experience and Production Team, and Next Steps Teams to implement digital strategies, procure content, and move people towards engagement

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and earned degrees and/or other training that has equipped them for the duties of the role
  • Three years of experience in digital marketing or advertising, with demonstrated experience in planning and executing all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising, as well as planning, executing, and measuring experiments and conversion tests
  • Strong knowledge of optimizing paid search ad campaigns and bid strategy according to KPIs
  • Ability to use Google Analytics and other Web analytic tools to measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to envision, develop systems and processes, implement and drive projects and strategies through to completion
  • Strong understanding of inbound marketing, digital sales, and online conversion
  • Leadership experience, including developing, mentoring, and obtaining results through a team.  
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.  Ability to identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.  Ability to manage digital marketing budget
  • Ability to understand and translate SVCC’s ministry strategy and approach into the digital space
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision; teamwork orientation with strong relationship management skills
  • Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in digital marketing or advertising

5-7 years of proven full-time experience in digital marketing, both hands-on and leading a team
