Care & Recovery Coordinator

The Care & Recovery Coordinator provides oversight of the ministries of the campus that provide support, healing and encouragement to individuals when they are facing life’s challenges.  These ministries include, but are not limited to, Celebrate Recovery, care groups, single parents, weddings, funerals and benevolence.  In all actions this position reflects the SV team leadership distinctives.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week.


  1. Oversees large and small group ministry associated with Celebrate Recovery 

  2. Creates and implements systems that recruit and build healthy teams of care volunteers that serve others in times of crisis or challenge

  3. Oversees the process for distribution of benevolence funds to individuals in financial need

  4. Creates processes for individuals to get connected to care and support groups

  5. Recruits, supports and leads the volunteers who provide care of single parents

  6. Partners with the Small Groups Coordinator in training and developing Small Group leaders

  7. Oversees the wedding and funeral coordinators that serve couples and families

  8. Responds to care needs personally, as needed, and helps connect individuals to counselors, groups or other appropriate resources


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to recruit and develop volunteers to effectively care for others in times of crisis and pain
  • Teamwork orientation
  • Thorough, detail oriented, organizational skills
  • Flexibility



  • One to two years of experience in leading a Celebrate Recovery program of 100
  • One to two years of experience as a full-time staff member in a church setting of over 2000 members/attenders
