Data Insights Director

POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Insights Director is responsible to pro-actively identify and perform advanced and specialized data activities including data analytics and data learning.  This position oversees the administration of the organization’s database(s), analyzes staff needs of the database(s), and implements processes for database management and reporting.  In all actions they reflect the Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) team leadership distinctives.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Administrate, maintain, and configure Rock ChMS

  2. Build workflows to automate organizational processes

  3. Interact with and empower ministries with Rock driven processes, events, and reporting

  4. Create reports and dashboards in Microsoft BI with a knowledge of SQL queries

  5. Evaluate systems and best practices on continual basis to ensure that the church utilizes data to its fullest potential

  6. Manage policies and procedures related to data security and integrity

  7. Manage system and security access for staff and volunteers

  8. Ensure that project and department milestones and goals are met on time and within budget

  9. Assess current and projected database functionality, and recommend changes and enhancements

  10. Provide training documentation and guidelines for staff and end users, as needed

  11. Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in ChMS

  12. Troubleshoot check-in and system issues, as needed 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and earned degrees and/or other training that has equipped them for the duties of the role
  • Two years of experience in related role
  • Experience writing SQL queries and reports
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership
  • Effective relational skills; proficiency in communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision
  • Ability to create, develop, implement, and drive strategies and projects through to completion
  • Project management, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork orientation with ability to recruit, train, shepherd, lead and motivate others
  • Thorough, detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of related experience
  • Experience using Rock RMS church management platform 
  • Experience working with Microsoft BI
