POSITION SUMMARY 

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing content for all of Sun Valley Community Church’s (SVCC) digital platforms (Website, Mobile App) and oversight of all SVCC’s social media accounts, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. In all actions, reflects the Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) team leadership distinctives. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  1. Create and maintain SVCC social media campaigns in alignment with SVCC culture and strategy 
  2. Work closely with Communications & Marketing Director to develop a social media strategy that will be efficient for a growing multisite organization 
  3. Develop content calendars that are consistent and effective in reaching SVCC audiences 
  4. Monitor analytics with social media team to identify viable ideas 
  5. Create engaging social media content 
  6. Research audience preferences and discover current trends 
  7. Create engaging text, image, and video content that aligns with SVCC content strategies 
  8. Stay current with changes in all social platforms to ensure maximum effectiveness 
  9. Assists with creation and implementation of materials for weekend services and special events or projects for digital marketing campaigns, as requested 
  10. Manage design and content for website and mobile app 
  11. Responsible for coordination and delivery of digital video content to platforms 
  12. Assist Communications Team to ensure overall branding on all digital platforms is appropriately representative of SVCC 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Two years of professional experience in all main social media platforms and marketing copywriting 
  • Knowledge of social media algorithms and ability to adapt with these changes 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines 
  • Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision 
  • Detail oriented, organizational skills, excellence in creative design 
  • Teamwork orientation and ability to work collaboratively 
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills 
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with Biblical requirements for church leadership 
  • Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • One year of graphic design and editing experience 
  • Three years of related experience
