Campus Pastor - South Gilbert (New Campus) | Central Services - All Campus Support | Full-time

Position Summary:

Church / Campus: 

Sun Valley Community Church began as a church plant in 1990 in Chandler, Arizona. Over the years Sun Valley has grown into a large multi-site church in the Phoenix area. Currently there are five campuses located in Casa Grande, East Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and Tempe. Together nearly, 8,000 people attend a Sun Valley Campus each weekend. 

 

Position Summary:

The Campus Pastor serves as the leader on their respective campus, providing leadership to the campus staff and volunteer leadership teams. Their role is to help people take their next step with Jesus through getting connected to relationship and responsibility; and reproduce the Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) culture and experience in their unique campus context.


Essential Functions:
  • Reproduce and advance the SVCC culture in their respective Campus context.
  • Provide leadership to the campus staff and volunteer teams. 
  • Help people take their next steps with Jesus through getting connected to relationships and responsibility. The scope of which includesthe guest experience, assimilation; yes moments, baptism, groups, classes, recovery, local outreach, volunteer teams and leadership development.
  • Work with the Central Service Team to implement SVCC ministry environments, best practices, and systems at assigned Campus. 
  • Work with the Central Business Team to manage the campus budget and campus operations.
  • Empower the congregation to reach the surrounding community with the Gospel
  • Problem solve and shepherd congregational matters.

 


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education and training that has equipped them for vocational ministry in a large multisite ministry context.
  • Demonstrated a track record of spiritual maturity and character consistent with the biblical requirements for Pastoral Leadership. 
  •  A successful track record of upper level management/leadership.
  • Strategic in nature, with the ability to drive projects and strategies through to completion. 
  •  Effective team building skills and ability to develop and motivate others. 
  •  Strong relational and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  •  Agree and align with the mission, vision, team leadership distinctives, ministry approach, and doctrinal statement of Sun Valley Community Church.
