Care & Recovery Administrative Assistant | Gilbert | Part-time

Position Status: Part-time

Position Summary:

The Care & Recovery Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Care & Recovery Director and the departmental Ministry Teams at Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC).  In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.  

 

This position is part-time at 15 hours per week. 


Essential Functions:

 

  1. Provide administrative support for the Care & Recovery Director and various ministries including Celebrate Recovery large and small groups, Single Parenting, Surrendering the Secret, Grief Share, Mending the Soul and Hospital Visitation 
  2. Participate in benevolence approval meetings with Next Steps Director and Care & Recovery Director. Distribute benevolence funds to individuals in financial need, as approved, and track and reconcile all payments made
  3. Respond to initial requests for care needs and follow established processes to connect individuals to counselors, groups or other appropriate resources, upon approval by Care & Recovery Director or Next Steps Director
  4. Attend regular weekly staff meetings and training meetings, as scheduled.  Distribute prayer requests for staff follow-up during weekly staff meetings
  5. Perform monthly credit card reconciliation for Care & Recovery Ministry
  6. Order ministry supplies, including books, Bibles, and other materials for various ministries, as needed
  7. Enter benevolence and counseling data into The Rock database
  8. Manage ServiceU requests for all Celebrate Recovery and care groups requests

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of administrative or project management experience

Ability to establish and maintain relationships while ensuring confidentiality and demonstrating patience, grace and compassion 

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision

Demonstrate spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership

Teamwork orientation

Agree and align with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC


Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of related experience

Previous experience in hospitality management and/or guest services
