Communications Administrative Assistant | Central Services - All Campus Support | Part-time

Position Status: Part-time

Position Summary:

The Communications Administrative Assistant provides support for all components of the Communications Department.  In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.  

This position is part-time at 20 hours per week. 

Essential Functions:


  1. Manage Communications Team calendar by scheduling meetings, events, etc.
  2. Manage billing and payment processes for department including purchasing, receipts and coding invoices
  3. Organize and maintain digital filing system utilizing Dropbox and Google Drive
  4. Routine SVCC website and Subsplash app updating
  5. Creative copywriting for a variety of marketing materials including but not limited to mass emails, weekend programs and website content
  6. Assist with the creation of weekend collateral including but not limited to handouts, flyers and programs 
  7. Proofread and make appropriate changes to copy for various materials ensuring spelling, grammar and layout
  8. Assist at events, as needed, including quarterly baptism weekends and other events

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of administrative experience

Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, CSS, InDesign and Photoshop, Internet/data research and social media. Strong knowledge of dropbox, Google suite and wordpress

Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision

Effective communication skills, both oral and written

Thorough, detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines

Collaboration and interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation

Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with Biblical requirements for church leadership

Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience in a written communications or marketing role
