Production Director | Central Services - All Campus Support | Full-time

Position Status: Full-time

Position Summary:

The Production Director is part of the Weekend Experience Leadership Team at Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC), working closely with other creative personalities. This position provides leadership and is responsible for all elements of production at all campuses in the areas of audio, video, lighting, media, and video broadcasting.In all actions they reflect the SVCC team leadership distinctives.  

Essential Functions:


  1. Identify, plan, and orchestrate the implementation of major production technology projects and supp-ort initiatives that enable SVCC to grow and continue its mission
  2. Lead, develop and supervise engineers, specialists, technicians and contractors, creating a thriving culture of service and support
  3. Partner with central and campus teams on current and future capital and operational projects. Provide technical support for project needs
  4. Provide technical training on new systems and technologies for staff, volunteers and contractors
  5. Stay current with ever-changing developments in AVL technology
  6. Serve in various production support roles on the weekends and other events, as needed
  7. Work with Technical Support teams to develop systems for non-weekend experience related venues
  8. Schedule rehearsals, run-throughs and service times with Worship Pastor/Music Directors
  9. Participate in long range planning of worship events and weekend experiences  
  10. Attend and participate in production meetings, creative team meetings, weekly/monthly staff meeting
  11. Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with staff members and volunteers

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical and/or other training/certifications that have equipped them for the duties of the role

Three years of experience in production, including advanced knowledge and ability to operate and troubleshoot technical equipment including computers, automated lighting, sound, and video, including ProPresenter, Ableton Live, and digital audio consoles 

Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 

Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership

Effective relational and communication skills, both verbal and written

Solution focused, self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision

Ability to implement and drive projects and strategies through to completion according to deadlines

Teamwork orientation with ability to recruit, train and motivate others

Creativity, and problem-solving skills

Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC

Preferred Qualifications:

Four years of related experience in multi-site church production
